Mixed Media Club: Landscapes of the Deathly Hallows Ages 9-13

Students will create multi-media landscapes of imaginary place each week inspired by places, people and events form the Harry Potter book series. Each week the teacher will share a description from one of the Harry Potter books to provide inspiration. Students will learn monoprinting with acrylics, collage and drawing techniques they will use to create their own imaginary artworks.

Karen Heaney-Chapman

Karen Heaney-Chapman Karen Chapman is a practicing artist and art educator. She has a BFA in Interior Architecture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and teaching license from the University of Colorado, Denver. Karen’s art is often inspired from observing nature. She works in acrylics, collage and ceramics.
Karen enjoys working with students exploring new techniques and considering different perspectives. Her goal as an educator is to support students in expressing their unique ideas through creating art.
