Teen/Tween Club: Identity Assemblages Ages 11-18

In this class we will explore and honor what makes us unique by way of creating Identity Assemblages. We will draw inspiration from the self portrait miniatures of Frida Kahlo as well as the assemblage techniques of Louise Nevelson to create “altar” style artworks with an emphasis on the ornate and expressive.

Kelly Craighead Kelly graduated with her B.A. in Fine Arts from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. She enjoys painting large scale, and her intaglio prints have been recognized via a juried printmaking show at Denver’s Core New Art Space.
