The Art Garage is a nonprofit visual arts center offering classes, camps, workshops, and community programs for artists of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

What We Do

Art should be accessible, welcoming, and for everyone.

The Art Garage is a nonprofit visual arts center that serves as a studio, classroom, community gathering space, and creative home for local artists, students, families, and partner organizations.

We offer visual arts-based programs that inspire, empower, and promote creative self-expression by people of all ages and backgrounds.

Through on-site and off-site programming, we bring creative learning into schools, community spaces, events, and neighborhoods across the Denver-Metro area.

A Day at The Art Garage

When people ask what a day in the life of a studio assistant at The Art Garage looks like, so many things come to mind. Helping teachers during class and doing tasks that range from restocking toilet paper to meticulously organizing paintbrushes, refilling glues and washing the paint off of pallettes at the end of class. It's all important to keep the studio running smoothly every day. In between those tasks, there are outstanding moments of human connection, growth, and creativity that I as an assistant have felt and still cherish!
