ANNOUNCEMENTS
New Sculpture at The Art Garage!
HANNAH BEAN \ MAY 13, 2020
We're so excited to announce that an incredible new sculpture has joined The Art Garage at the corner of 23rd Avenue and Kearney Street! "Space Moon" was created by Park Hill artist Reven Marie Swanson and now accompanies Ms. Swanson's iconic "Uncomplicated Moon" in front of The Art Garage. Reven Swanson's amazing public art sculptures can be seen all over Colorado and the country and we couldn't be more honored to have "Space Moon" on our corner!
Ms. Swanson is a native Coloradan and has been a Park Hill resident since 1995. She pursued a career as a professional artist beginning in 1989. Highlighted commissions throughout the West include the Trust for Public Lands and National Endowment for the Arts and a host of Colorado cities like Denver, Aurora, Commerce City, Broomfield, Castle Rock, Monument, Greeley, Grand Junction and many more! Her most recent commissions are at THE MET, located near Monaco Parkway and Lowry Boulevard, and the Museum, of Outdoor Arts at the Fiddler's Green Amphitheater.
Through artworks about change, movement, balance and growth, Ms. Swanson seeks to identify her past and add the influences of the present. The works are often suspended or mounted above the ground to imply flight, movement, and transitional experiences of growth.
Make sure you swing by The Art Garage to take a look and head to Reven Swanson's [website](http://www.revenswanson.com/) to see more of her work and view an interactive map of where you can find it!
