April 16, 2020: Today's Activity!
HANNAH BEAN \ APRIL 16, 2020
The "I Spy" books have always been a favorite at The Art Garage. Today, try playing a real-life I Spy with your little ones!
Pre-reading children will have a blast and learn to isolate sounds at the same time when you choose a phonetic sound and say, "I spy something that starts with 'ka.'" You can also teach colors, sounds, animals, spelling or textures by saying "I spy something blue," "I spy something that goes moo," "I spy something that starts with the letter 'C,'" or "I spy something soft." The possibilities are endless and you can play as long as they like!
For older kids, you can step it up a notch by making a scavenger hunt (a list of small items to hunt for around the house)!
