### Program Updates

**Now Hiring Director of Education**
The Director of Education provides leadership for The Art Garage’s art educational programs, managing rosters of teaching artists and three full time team members. The Director of Education reports to the Executive Director and serves in senior management roles, collaborating in grant and funding development to ensure The Art Garage’s daily programming aligns with its mission. The Director of Education will work as an advocate and take initiative to support the organization’s DEIA advancement.

**Summer Camp Registration Lottery**
In order to make summer registration more accessible and equitable for all; The Art Garage will make Summer Camps available on a lottery system.
We will be opening the lottery to everyone who has interest in enrolling one or more children in Summer Camps at The Art Garage. This phase will run from December 19th through January 15th, so there is no rush! Keep an eye on out for an email with more information detailing the lottery process.
Summer camps will be open for viewing soon!

**Art Garage Gift Cards**
Give the gift of ART this year with an Art Garage gift card! Need a gift idea for someone in your family? Our gift cards are perfect for those who want to gift a memorable experience for your art loving friends and family. With classes from toddlers to adults, we have something for everyone! **King Soopers or City Market Community Rewards Program**
Want to support your local non-profit for the holidays but don't have much to donate? Here's an easy way you can support The Art Garage at zero cost to you other than a few minutes of setup.
If you have a King Soopers or City Market loyalty card you can easily add The Art Garage as an organization that will be donated to (at zero cost to you) every time you use buy your groceries.
Just follow these basic steps and you'll be donating in no time!

  • **sign in** or sign up at Kingsoopers.com or citymarket.com (Even if you have a loyalty card you will need to create an account online if you haven't done so before. You can link your loyalty card after creating a new account)
  • At the home page click on **"Savings"** then drop down to **"Community Rewards"**
  • Search for **The Art Garage** by our name or **GA477** then click **Enroll**

And that's it! Now every time you swipe your loyalty card you will also be supporting The Art Garage! Please note that the donations will only begin when once you have a loyalty card is registered under your online account which you can update under "My Account".

**iPhone Donations**
Do you have an old or outdated iPhone taking up space in your junk drawer? The Art Garage is currently seeking iPhone donations for photographing our students’ amazing artwork in our studios! We are accepting donations of iPhone models 11, 12, 13 or 14. Reach out to donations@artgaragedenver.com to learn more!

**Open Studio**
Fridays, 6PM-9PM
Need space to work on art? Get inspired and in the zone with creative peers at The Art Garage Open Studio! Open Studio creates a space for artists to practice their art, get messy outside of home and work alongside other local artists. The Art Garage is excited to offer this opportunity to the Denver community and we hope to see you there! **Teen Ceramics (Jan/Feb)**
Thursdays, 11:30AM-12:30PM
This 5-week session is perfect for any skill level and will be structured to ensure you learn the aspects of hand building, wheel throwing, and glazing. **Daytime Series for Young Artists**
Wednesdays (Jan/Feb),
9:30AM - 1:30PM
At The Art Garage, we believe that our youngest learners benefit greatly from creative exploration through art based education that encourages cross-curriculum connections and kindergarten preparedness! Over the course of this 7-week series, students will complete many masterpieces and improve their technical art skills while expanding their knowledge of the world around them through age-appropriate lessons inspired by famous artists. **Danielle Seewalker Solo Exhibition: You Can't Have Our Braids**

"A companion exhibition to ["The Red Road Project"](https://www.mcnicholsbuilding.com/exhibitions/detail/the-red-road-project) on display at McNichols Civic Center Building through Dec. 18\, Danielle SeeWalker’s solo exhibition\, "You Can't Have Our Braids\," in the **Buell Theatre Lobby** showcases her original paintings\, with mixed media works that merge expressionistic portraiture with her Lakota traditions. Buell Theatre lobby exhibitions are accessible to theatre patrons during events.
