We do so by fostering a space that inspires, empowers and promotes creative self-expression and continuous learning about ourselves and others. With a commitment to equity and diversity, we strive to ensure accessibility to the arts and to amplify voices that have been systematically excluded. Thank you to those who participated and who were patient during this learning process. We recently opened up remaining spots to the public for registration. If you would like to be notified if and when a spot opens up in a class that is full, please sign up for the wait list by clicking on the gray "Alert Me" button on any camps you are interested in (you must be signed into your account). Artists will experiment with a variety of techniques and incorporate painting, drawing, collage, and more. We will look at examples of creative self portraits by famous artists and learn to express our personalities utilizing various artistic styles. These classes are open to the public, and not limited to McGlone students. Topics of classes include portraiture, modern Black artists, visual storytelling, costume and production design, multimedia art, and mural painting. Please note: This program is grant funded and attendance is required. Families will be refunded $5 per day attended on the last day of class, up to the full $20 tuition.</span><br> <br> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">\*\*Teen Ceramics June/July:\*\*</span> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">Sundays, June 11th - July 23rd</span> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">1:00pm - 3:00pm</span><br> <br> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">This 6-week session is perfect for any skill level and will be structured to ensure you learn the aspects of hand building, wheel throwing, and glazing. Students will develop and grow their ceramic skills through techniques and projects led by our skilled instructor.</span><br> <br> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">\*\*Adult Ceramics June/July:\*\*</span> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">Sundays, June 11th - July 23rd</span> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">4:00pm - 7:00pm</span><br> <br> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">This course is great for any beginner, intermediate, or advanced student. This 6-week session will be structured to ensure you learn the essential aspects of hand building, wheel throwing and glazing. Barrie novel through the glistening lens of feminism and motherhood.</span><br> <br> <span class="colour" style="color:rgb(34, 34, 34)">“This magical and terrifying collection, "Surviving Peter Pan" gazes back on childhood ideas of motherhood, marriage, and the story of "Peter Pan" then peels back the layers of this magical land of immortality and adventure to expose misogyny, abuse, and colonization: both in the original text of "Peter Pan" and in the hardships women endure day in and day out.
