At The Art Garage, we believe that our youngest learners benefit greatly from creative exploration through art based education that encourages cross-curriculum connections and kindergarten preparedness! Over the course of this 8-week series, students will complete many masterpieces and improve their technical art skills while expanding their knowledge of the world around them through age-appropriate lessons inspired by famous artists.

Interested in the poetic art form? Want to complete a poetry manuscript in a supportive and productive community? Marissa Forbes will launch the Denver Chapter of Community Literature Initiative through a 10 month poetry to publication course. This all encompassing hybrid course includes weekly poetry lessons, prompts, and workshops that culminates in the completion of your full length poetry manuscript; you'll receive an author's copy as well as digital files ready for publication submission. Plus so much more. Discover local and national zines at this annual festival organized by the Denver Zine Library, a nonprofit organization founded in 2003 whose mission is to preserve, protect and promote the culture of zines and self-published original work through archival collection, workshops and events.

"Denver invites youth, ages 5-18, to enjoy breakfast, lunch, supper and/or a nutritious snack. Tasty Food meals include up to five food groups that are low in fat and prepared fresh. No ID or registration required - just show up and eat up, and YES ... you can bring a friend, or two, or three, or more!"

Partial and full scholarships are awarded to students of all ages for The Art Garage classes, camps, and workshops! Scholarships are based on financial need and demonstrated motivation.
Applicants are expected to have transportation to and from class, to attend class regularly, and to fully participate in all class activities. Students' participation and attendance will be recorded and will be considered by The Art Garage administration in awarding future scholarships.
