### **Program Updates** **Featured Classes** **Friday Night Fun!** **Adult and Me Art Class: Spooky Season** Friday, October 6th  4:30 - 6:30pm Young artists and a loved adult will create side by side in this exciting and messy class! **Parents' Night Out: Creepy Crawlers** Friday, October 20th  4:30 - 6:30pm Enjoy dinner out or just a little quiet time at home while your child's creativity roams free exploring a variety of art materials and methods! **November - December Art Classes** November and December classes for toddlers, kids, teens, and adults are now open! They fill up fast so register today at [ArtGarageDenver.com/Courses](http://ArtGarageDenver.com/Courses)<br> <br> ### **Events in Our Community** **Park Hill Open Studio Tour!** **Saturday 10/14 10AM-8PM and Sunday 10/15 10AM-5PM** Come meet local artists and see their studios, art processes and art work at this popular tour in Denver’s beautiful Park Hill neighborhood! Artwork including paintings, collage, pottery, glass, and jewelry will be available for purchase to help you get a jump on holiday shopping and support your local arts community. _All of your favorite instructors and staff will also be showing their work at The Art Garage all weekend!_ **The Park Hill Wine Walk** **Saturday 10/14, 5PM-8PM** It's the annual Park Hill Wine Walk! There will be 22 samples of award winning wines, ready to drinks and more. This event will take place between 22nd and 23rd avenues on Kearney street. Reaching an excess of over 300 Park Hill community residents past, present, and future. This is an outdoor event and will commence rain or shine. Find out more at ParkHillWineWalk.com **Fundraiser for Burning Through Pages** Burning Through Pages, a youth literacy nonprofit, is bringing local artists together in a community supported venue to sell original works of art. Tickets include drinks and hors d’oeuvres and each artist is donating a portion of their sales towards this worthwhile mission. Dress in your best attire for a night you won’t forget. Burning Through Pages provides books, space, resources, and guidance for students and youth in the Denver metro area. They also provide support for literacy education in schools and other reading programs. Because it lets my imagination flow." ### **Community Resources** **Tasty Food: Free Meals for Denver Youth** "Denver invites youth, ages 5-18, to enjoy breakfast, lunch, supper and/or a nutritious snack. Tasty Food meals include up to five food groups that are low in fat and prepared fresh. No ID or registration required - just show up and eat up, and YES ... you can bring a friend, or two, or three, or more!" **SEARCH: TASTY FOOD ON DENVERGOV.ORG** **Scholarships!** Partial and full scholarships are awarded to students of all ages for The Art Garage classes, camps, and workshops. Scholarships are based on financial need and demonstrated motivation. Applicants are expected to have transportation to and from class, to attend class regularly, and to fully participate in all class activities.
