April 30, 2020: Today's Activity!
HANNAH BEAN \ APRIL 30, 2020
Origami is a super simple activity (all you need is paper!) that is not only tons of fun but is also great for growing minds! Origami projects engage math skills, artistic skills, and hand-eye coordination for everyone from preschool aged kids to adults.
Try one or all of these great project ideas:

* [20 origami projects that offer a little more challenge from ItsAlwaysAutumn.com](https://www.itsalwaysautumn.com/20-fun-origami-tutorials-adults-kids.html) including bracelets, envelopes, and butterflies
* [Origami projects for teens and adults from DIYProjectsForTeens.com](https://diyprojectsforteens.com/best-diy-origami/) like flowers, lanterns, vases, and a clutch!
For some extra fun, take simple origami projects like fish or boats and create a background for your creations with paint, markers, and paper! For example, after creating origami fish, you could paint or draw an ocean full of seaweed, octopus and waves for your fish to swim in or even keep to paper only creativity by tearing strips of blue paper to glue down as waves and tearing strips of green paper to use as seaweed. For older kids, you can build 3D scenes like the one in our photo, using strips of paper to create waves for your boat.
Have fun, and don't forget to share your projects with us on [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/ArtGarageDenver/) and [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/artgaragedenver/?hl=en)! We can't wait to see your fabulous folds!
