May 8, 2020: Today's Activity!
HANNAH BEAN \ MAY 8, 2020
This fun project is great for all ages and the perfect activity to do outside this weekend! Start by having your little artist lay down on either a large (life-size) piece of paper or outside on the sidewalk or patio. Then, trace their outline with a marker, crayon, pen, or pencil if you're using paper, or chalk if you're outside.
No sidewalk chalk? No problem! Try [this easy chalk paint recipe](https://www.happinessishomemade.net/sidewalk-chalk-paint/) using just cornstarch, water, and food coloring.
Next, color in your outline with hair, smiles, clothes and everything else that makes you YOU! These life size self-portraits can be as simple or as detailed as you like, making them tons of fun for everyone from toddlers to grown ups. You can also try having your little ones trace and make portraits of you and everyone else at home to create an entire family portrait just in time for Mother's Day!
We miss making art with all of you and would love to see your creations! Share your project photos with us on [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/ArtGarageDenver/) and [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/artgaragedenver/?hl=en).
