Description

This class takes place at Westerly Creek Elementary School (8800 E 28th Ave, Denver, CO 80238). This class is open to the public, and not limited to Westerly Creek students. Our inspiration this week will be from the mask making artists Kimmy Cantrell, Pablo Picasso and Sandra Silberzweig. First, students will choose an animal and use reference photos to inspire aspects of their mask creations. They will plan, design and create their masks with cardboard, mixed media textures and paint. Students will then use what they have learned from their animal masks and apply it to making their own large scale self portraits masks. Both masks will be ready to hang to brighten up your wall!

*Please note: We have a no refund policy. Be sure to visit our CLASS FAQ page for up to date information. If you are interested in financial assistance, apply for a Scholarship and wait for a response from our scholarship committee prior to registering here.
