Adventures in Arendelle

Take a break from the hot summer months and escape to the snowy land of Arendelle as we get inspired by ‘Frozen’ and 'Frozen II'. Students will create their own castles, make a unique Olaf character, create winter scenes and create ice cube paints! Livin’ the Bugs Life

As we combine art and science, this class will make your skin crawl, canvases dazzle and imaginations take “flight”. Spiders, butterflies and other amazing bugs will be explored as students become familiar with vocabulary such as arachnids and insects, endo and exoskeletons, thorax, abdomen and antennas. Batik Technique

Batik is primarily known as an Indonesian art form however, the resist technique has existed across the world in various places such as China, India and Africa. Students will not only learn the history of the wax resist dyeing technique called Batik but they will also learn the process first hand! The wax acts as a resist to dye when applied to cloth and we will practice patterns and motifs on our own fabric with this magical, ancient art form.
