Patterns are all around us and are one of the essential principles of design! This week, we'll learn about artists who use patterns in their work like Wassily Kandinsky, Gustav Klimt, and Heather Galler before exploring a variety of art methods to create our own pattern pieces. Students will experiment with mixed media and be challenged to try new techniques each day as they create landscapes, portraits, mandalas, and other masterpieces that will push their ability to see and create their own patterns.
