Tunnel books have been around for quite some time however not many people know what they are... but not for long! Artists will learn how to build an accordion tunnel book that tells a story or sends an important message to it's reader. Tunnel books are held together by many folded strips of paper, like an accordion, and give an illusion of depth and perspective. Students will study famous tunnel book artists, such as Carol Barton, to inspire thier creations. We will storyboard, construct, and illustrate our books, leaving class with a very unique literary piece of art!
