This class takes place at Westerly Creek Elementary School (8800 E 28th Ave, Denver, CO 80238). This class is open to the public, and not limited to Westerly Creek students. You'll be in the spotlight this week as we explore the art of self portraiture! Artists will experiment with painting, drawing, collage, and more as they explore the many sides of themselves through a variety of artistic styles and materials. Students will look at examples of creative portraits by famous artists such as Kehinde Wiley for inspiration and even create self portrait masks. Students will finish camp with a series of artworks celebrating their favorite artist: themselves!
