Description

In this class students will make plates, bowls, and cups using slab, pinch-pot, and coil techniques. We will find extra inspiration in decoration techniques from Mimbres pottery made in our region. Mimbres pottery was created from A.D. 1000 to 1150 by Native American artists that were early ancestors of the Pueblo Indians that inhabited large portions of Southwestern New Mexico. Everything will be made non-toxic and safe to serve on.
*Please note: We have a no refund policy. Be sure to visit our SUMMER FAQ  page for up to date information. If you are interested in financial assistance, apply for a Scholarship and wait for a response from our scholarship committee prior to registering here.
