In this class, we will learn about Mickalene Thomas's contemporary mixed media artwork celebrating female power and black femininity We will explore her collage techniques including the use of glitter, yarn and collage, and make some collages of our own! Lessons and materials will be modified in order to be appropriate for each age group.
