Description

This class takes place at Smith Elementary (3590 Jasmine St Denver, CO 80207). This class is open to the public, and not limited to Smith Elementary students. Students will take inspiration from a variety of contemporary black artists throughout the week and experiment with using elements of their styles and techniques in their own work. From Kahinde Wiley’s use of pattern to William Pope’s incorporation of performance, young artists will explore materials and techniques through artists who have influenced the modern art world.
