Paige Burkart-Lima

Paige comes from a background in artistic non-profits ranging from cancer recovery to learning disability mentorship. She is a graduate of Naropa University where she earned an interdisciplinary degree in Psychology and Art for Health and Healing and explored her interest in Art Therapy. She believes art, above all, is a behavior more than a skill, and aims to encourage creative process more so than product or professionalization for herself and her students. She enjoys sewing and up-cycling everyday objects, like crayons and puzzle pieces, into earrings. She is working toward integrating mindful art practices into her work as an artist and teacher and is certified by the Colorado Department of Education for Restorative Practices in the Classroom.
