Students will learn about poetry and visual art by creating their own 'black out poetry' erasures. Erasures are a form of found poetry that utilizes existing texts and many mediums to make their own visual art/poetry pieces. Students will learn a new poetic form every day as well as multiple methods of erasure, including collage, painting, pencil, threading, and a mix of each, which will lead to a small and beautiful collection of visual poems. Students will also learn about the submission process for publication of their poems.
